1.Provide Value in Content

One of the biggest advantages you will have in making your content noticed above others is, value. Always make sure the content you’re putting out to your readers/viewers/subscribers contains value. This will show your readers that you are there to provide them with useful information that they can apply to their lives. Your readers will not only return to your content but also recommend it to others once they experience quality content that has been beneficial to their needs

2.Become More Relatable

Many businesses and big companies are not able to understand what makes a good social media strategy because they lack relatability. The reason why many influencers are used by businesses is because they are ordinary people with the ability to simply relate to others and make them feel like they can do it too. Think of all the YouTube videos you watch with YouTubers simply talking from their bedrooms instead of the companies that have professionally edited green screens behind their spokesperson.  3.Post at Times that Benefit Your Audience

The best times of day to post on social media depends, obviously, on your audience. Yes, there is a whole other section to this technicality but let’s sum it up for you… Basically, the best time of day to post is the times when your audience is most likely to be doing nothing but scrolling through their phones or binging on YouTube videos. These times are generally between breaks at work which is around 12pm-3pm or around leisure times of day for example, around 6pm-7pm when most people have finally settled in from a long day at work. Makes sense, right?

4.Consistency is key

I’m sorry but I had to put this in here. I know you’ve probably heard this a thousand times but it’s really true. Successful social media accounts are successful because they’re consistent with the content they put out. Yes, it’s a ton of work at first but I can assure you it gets easier once the process evolves. Try being consistent with each of these steps for at least a month and I can guarantee you results better than what your platforms are right now. Sometimes you just have to put in a little more work to get the results!

 5.Choose specific networks, not all networks!

Stop overwhelming yourself! Many times we make the mistake of thinking we can take on FaceBook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat and still throw a podcast into the mix all at once but its only doomed to cause you unnecessary stress. Choose at least 3 platforms that you really want to master and stick to them. This will give you better and faster paced results because you’re more focused and able to give more energy to each platform instead of spreading yourself to thin. Once you’ve established a good following, you can then look to tackling new platforms, along with inviting you followers from your previously established networks.

 6.Engage with your following

The importance of engaging with your following is so crucial, especially with a business. Most of the time these people are the ones that are going to be buying your product or service. They are the ones who will be commenting on how great of a business you are or not, to their friends. So, be nice! You don’t have to have a casual chat with people or slide into their DM’s to do the trick, instead simply ‘like’ their post or comment on their feed. This can be a great form of interaction because truth be told, we all love attention! Simply show your followers that you acknowledge them too and watch how your brand grows!

 7.Connect with Your Mentors/Aspirations

Don’t be afraid to follow those people who are in the same niche as you, that you truly admire. Engage with them on their platforms, offer to collaborate with them or even enjoy an online coffee-chat together. Social media is a great way to build relationships with people when done right. So take advantage of the opportunity!
