If you want success, know that success is deliberate. Opportunities are not going to just fall into your lap, you have to wake up and go get them. They are out there although, you are always one decision away from changing your life for the better, by being deliberate with your choices and knowing what it is you want. If you’re staying in a job that isn’t getting you anywhere, that is a choice. If you’re staying in a relationship with someone who is mistreating you, that is a choice. You always have the power of decision. All you have to do is carry it through and do it. A lot of people forget what they want. Once you know what you want, do not settle for less. “If you don’t set a baseline standard for what you’ll accept in life, you’ll find it’s easy to slip into behaviors and attitudes or a quality of life that’s far below what you deserve,” said business and life coach, Tony Robbins.
Now that you know what you want, be specific about it. Only you know exactly what it is that you want. Once you get specific, you will work your way towards it. How are you going to go on a trip without a map… You would never arrive at your destination. You need to know which turns to take, where are the rest stops, how to get to the midpoint of your drive. So just like that you need to be specific with your goals. If you want a house, plan how you will save, plan how you will make it happen, nothing is impossible once you start. Things will start to fall into place once you take action and you’ll wonder why you hadn’t done it before! “One reason so few of us achieve what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate our power,” said Robbins.
This is all apart of believing and being confident that you are capable of great things. Be confident in yourself when you set your goals. Don’t compare yourself to others, you are unique and by being unique that is your greatest strength. Once you fully believe you can achieve anything, the impossible will seem possible and you will get it done. It’s your job to push yourself.
